Atlanta United’s STEAM tours played an important role in educating students and attracting schools to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, the program relied heavily on static PDF materials and the ability of teachers to bring the content to life. This made it difficult to consistently engage large groups of students and limited the overall impact of the experience. At the same time, the organization wanted to maintain compliance with educational standards while scaling the program and increasing its value for both students and the business.

To bring the program to life, Atlanta United partnered with Betty Blocks to develop a mobile application that would transform passive learning into an interactive experience. The app allowed students to engage directly with the environment through their own devices, using features like real-time feedback, questionnaires, and interactive challenges. Built in just 3 months, the solution combined educational expertise with rapid no-code development.
Key features of the application:
The new mobile application transformed the STEAM tours into a dynamic, two-way experience. Instead of passively listening, students actively participate, explore, and interact with the content.
Tour guides now have more flexibility to tailor sessions, while students remain engaged throughout the entire experience.
Beyond operational improvements, the initiative strengthened Atlanta United’s role in the community by inspiring students and making education more accessible and engaging.
